We understand that when dealing with cancer it’s important to care for the mind, body and spirit. Willmar Regional Cancer Center offers emotional and spiritual support for all patients who seek comfort and strength.
Mental Health Services
A cancer diagnosis can cause a variety of mental health issues to rise to the surface, including anxiety and depression. Patients and family members are encouraged to share their fears and concerns with the Cancer Care Coordinator who can get you a referral for services, or provide you with resources to help you through this challenging time.
Chaplain
A full-time, non-denominational chaplain is available for patients and their families to provide spiritual counseling and support. The chaplain offers an opportunity to reflect on spiritual concerns and to gain strength from your beliefs. The chaplain is also a link to other members of the religious community.
To contact the chaplain, please speak with any of our staff, or call (320) 231-4211. If you are a patient or visitor at WRCC or Rice Memorial Hospital, you may ask your nurse to page the on-call chaplain at any time.
Chapel
An interfaith chapel, located on the first floor of Rice Memorial Hospital just to the west of the Trott Avenue entrance. It is open at all times for prayer, meditation and silent reflection. The chapel is available for patients, families and staff.
