A cancer diagnosis can produce challenges and stresses. Willmar Regional Cancer Center offers support and education to help you deal with the challenges of cancer diagnosis and treatment.
Psychosocial Support
Psychosocial support specialists (social workers, psychologists, and psychiatrists) are available to help patients and their families cope with different emotional aspects of a cancer diagnosis. They collaborate with the patient’s care team to meet the psychosocial, emotional and spiritual needs of patients and their families.
Cancer Support and Education Groups
Cancer education and support are an important part of the cancer treatment process. Knowing others who are dealing with cancer may help you cope with your own cancer-related experiences. Willmar Regional Cancer Center has programs to help you and your loved ones understand and manage the physical, emotional and spiritual challenges of cancer. Support and education schedules and topics change regularly and are open to those affected by cancer.
